For larger or multi-site operations, dedicated gateway hubs are deployed to manage each site’s sensor network effectively.
Data Transmission and Accessibility: The gateway hub collects data from each sensor and transmits it using 4G cellular networks to the Expotec portal. This allows users to access live data remotely, ensuring real-time monitoring of air quality. Even in the event of network disruptions, sensors can store data temporarily until communication is restored, ensuring no loss of critical information.
Sensor Specifications and Maintenance: Our sensors are robust and versatile, capable of taking readings as frequently as every minute. Gas-detecting sensors are powered by long-lasting batteries, offering up to five years of uninterrupted operation, while sensors with moving parts require mains electricity. Over-the-air updates ensure that sensors and gateways stay up-to-date with the latest fixes and features. All sensors are CE Certified, small, discreet, and can be easily positioned on-site.
Simple Installation and Comprehensive Support: Before dispatch, each sensor system is manufactured and customised to meet your specific environmental needs by our technical team. Installation is straightforward—simply place the sensors in their desired locations and turn them on. Within 24 hours, you’ll be able to view live data on the Expotec portal.
Flexible Leasing Options: We offer our sensor systems on a lease hire basis, with a minimum three-year rolling agreement. This arrangement includes ongoing maintenance, calibration, repairs, software updates, and technical support, providing a hassle-free solution to managing your indoor air quality.
